Felts are one of the most important parts of a flatwork ironer and the ones undergoing most stress if work is not performed properly. This is why on top of choosing and installing the right felt for each type of flatwork ironer, each set of working conditions, etc., the flatwork ironer
itself also needs to be properly cleaned during servicing in order to lengthen the service life of ironer clothing\/belts.<\/p>\n

Both rotary ironers and wall flatwork ironers are equipped with needlefelt belts.
Feeding belts are made from 100% polyester (rough surface on one side to increase grip) and ironer belts from polyester\/meta-aramid.
Our belts feature a heavy-duty scrim stopping elongation and shrinkage over time. Feeding belts are made endless, sewn and also with hooks; and ironer belts are made with hooks covered by a flap to prevent snagging.<\/p>\n
To equip the chest flatwork ironer\u2019s roller\/s, we need a felt matching the working conditions of each machine, but first we need to know if it is heated by thermal oil, steam, gas or electricity, and its operating temperature. All of this will determine what materials are needed for the ironer clothing.<\/p>\n

Flatwork ironers can be equipped with one turn and two turn ironer clothing.<\/p>\n
We offer three types of one turn ironer clothing: 100% polyester: Polyester, Meta-Aramid and Polyester-Meta Aramid-PTFE, with weights ranging from 2kg\/m\u00b2<\/span> to 4.2kg\/m\u00b2<\/span>.<\/p>\n We offer two types of two turn ironer clothing: 100% polyester: Polyester and Meta-Aramid. Ironer clothing may have a short service life due to:<\/p>\n Strength issues where felts break, which may occur for a variety of reasons: the heater plate, roller and felt are not perfectly aligned, adding extra tension on ironer clothing; significant bed residue (wax); steam traps are not working properly, causing cold spots which deform ironer clothing until it breaks, etc.<\/p>\n Chemical issues where felts hydrolyse, progressively losing toughness and turning into dust. Hoy en d\u00eda, debido a la evoluci\u00f3n de las m\u00e1quinas, existen en el mercado varios tipos de
fieltros para adecuarse tanto a las planchadoras como a las m\u00e1quinas de rodillo de gran
di\u00e1metro.

Existen diferentes tipos de revestimientos para los diferentes tipos de planchadoras, calandras
murales y calandras centrales.
Tanto las planchadoras como las calandras murales se equipan con bandas fabricadas con
fieltro punzonado.
Las bandas de introducci\u00f3n est\u00e1n fabricadas con poli\u00e9ster 100% (por un lado gaseado para
mayor adherencia) y las bandas de planchado con Poli\u00e9ster\/Meta-Aramida.
Nuestras bandas llevan un tejido soporte super robusto lo que hace evitar el alargamiento y
mantener la misma medida con el paso del tiempo. Las bandas de introducci\u00f3n se
confeccionan sin fin, cosidas y tambi\u00e9n se pueden confeccionar con grapas; y las bandas de
planchado se confeccionan con grapas, las cuales se ocultan con una solapa para evitar
enganchones.
Para equipar el\/los rodillo\/s de las calandras centrales, necesitamos que el fieltro se adec\u00fae a
las condiciones de trabajo de cada m\u00e1quina; lo primero que hay que saber si es aceite t\u00e9rmico,
vapor, gas, el\u00e9ctrico y la temperatura de trabajo. Todo ello determinar\u00e1 la necesidad de
composici\u00f3n del mulet\u00f3n.<\/p>

Meta Aramida 100% 230\u00baC<\/p>
Para los muletones de 1 vuelta ofrecemos tres tipos de composici\u00f3n: 100% poli\u00e9ster:
Poli\u00e9ster\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Meta Aramida\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0y \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Poli\u00e9ster- Meta Aramida- PTFE; el gramaje puede oscilar desde
2kg\/m2 hasta 4.2kg\/m2.
Para los muletones de 2 vueltas ofrecemos dos tipos de composici\u00f3n: 100% poli\u00e9ster: Poli\u00e9ster
y\u00a0Meta Aramida. El gramaje puede oscilar desde 400g\/m2 hasta 1.2\/m2<\/p>
Razones mec\u00e1nicas donde el fieltro se rompe, esto puede ser debido a m\u00faltiples razones entre
otras: la teja, el rodillo y el fieltro no tienen una perfecta alineaci\u00f3n y esto provoca una tensi\u00f3n
extra al mulet\u00f3n, gran cantidad de residuos (cera) en la cubeta; las trampillas de vapor no
funcionan correctamente provocando puntos fr\u00edos que deforman el mulet\u00f3n hasta que se
rompe, etc.
Razones qu\u00edmicas donde el fieltro se hidroliza, pierde su resistencia progresivamente y se
convierte en polvo. Esto puede ser debido a un ataque qu\u00edmico, exceso de agua residual en la
ropa, etc.
Un buen mantenimiento de las calandras alarga la vida \u00fatil del fieltro. Es fundamental realizar
una correcta y continua limpieza a la misma mediante mantas lijadoras y ceras especiales, as\u00ed
